To integrate Drip with Group Doorman, you’ll need to install our Chrome extension for the group you’re currently managing. You’ll also need a Drip account.
Adding Drip to Group Doorman integrations
1.To get started, open up Group Doorman and head over to the Manage groups tab (1). Now click +Add integrations (2).
2. Find Drip in the list shown and click on it.
3. Once you’ve clicked Drip, the setup form will open. Choose to create a new account or select an existing one if you have already set up an account for another group and wish to reuse it.
Getting API token
4. Next, head over to Drip and click on your account icon (1). From there, click on User settings (2) in the side menu that appears.
5. On the Settings page, scroll down until you see the API Token title. Once you find it, simply click on the field with your API Token and copy it (you can also use CTRL+C or CMD+C).
6. Go to Group Doorman setup form and paste the API Token into the corresponding field.
Getting Account ID
7. Now, let’s go back to Drip. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Settings icon (1) on the left. Then select Account (2) from the slider menu and copy your account ID from the field labeled Account ID (3).
8. Now that you have your account ID copied, let’s move on to the next step. Simply paste the copied data into the Account ID field (1) located in the Group Doorman setup form. After that, click Save and continue (2).
Adding a tag at Group Doorman
9. In the Group Doorman form, enter the name of the tag in the appropriate field. This tag will then be transferred to Drip by Group Doorman when creating a contact.
Creating Custom field at Drip
Group Doorman allows you to post your group members’ responses to Drip using custom fields. You’ll need to specify which response corresponds to each field.
10. To create a custom field in Drip, return to your Drip account and navigate to the People tab (1) in the side menu. Then select Custom fields (2) in the slider menu, that appeared.
11. Next, click on the Open button on the right.
12. Here, click on the “+” icon to add a new custom field.
13. Enter the field name (1) in the open creation form and then click on the Create field button (2). Your custom field is now ready to use!
Setup completion
13. To manage your custom fields in the Group Doorman form, simply select the fields created in Drip (1). If you’ve made any changes to your custom fields in Drip, click the Refresh fields button (2) to update the fields in the Group Doorman form. Once you’re finished, click Save and close (3) to save your changes.
