To integrate Brevo with Group Doorman, you’ll need to install our Chrome extension for the group you’re currently managing. You’ll also need a Brevo account.
Adding Brevo to Group Doorman integrations
1.Let’s get started! First, open up Group Doorman and navigate to the Manage groups tab (1). From there, click on the +Add integration button (2) to begin setting up your integration.
2. Next, check the list of available integrations, find Brevo, and click on it.
3. Once you’ve selected Brevo, you will see a setup form. You have the option to create a new account or select an existing one if you have previously used Brevo. Pick whichever option suits you best!!
Adding API key
4. First, visit your Brevo profile. Click on your account icon (1) and then select SMTP & API (2) in the drop-down that appears.
5. Once you have the page open, go ahead and click on the API Keys tab (1) and then click on the Generate a new API key button (2) when it appears.
6. Now, give your API key a name (1) in the pop-up that appears, and then click the Generate button (2).
7. You’ve created your API Key. Now, copy it (1) and keep it somewhere safe— in case you’ll need it later. Once you’re done, click OK (2) to wrap up.
8. Now, what you need to do is place your API key in the correct spot in Group Doorman (1) . Once you’re finished, simply click Save and continue (2).
Creating a list at Brevo
9. Back to Brevo – look for the Contacts in the side menu (1), then choose Lists (2). Then, on the Lists page, you can either use the list that was created during registration (3) for Group Doorman integration, or you can create a brand new list by clicking on the +Add a new list (4).
10. Now, name your shiny new list (1) and hit Create an empty list button (2).
11. Your list is ready! You can pick it from the dropdown in the according field on the Group Doorman setup form.
Creating a Custom field at Brevo
Group Doorman allows you to post your group members’ responses to Brevo using custom fields. You’ll need to specify which response corresponds to each field. Additionally, Group Doorman can automatically generate default custom fields for you. To do this, simply click on the Create Fields for Answers button.
12. For manually creating a custom field at SendGrid, go to Contacts (1) on the side menu, and click Settings (2). When the contacts settings page opens, click the Contact attributes (3).
13. On the Contact Attributes page, click on the +Add a new attribute button.
14. In the form, name your attribute (1), choose its type (2), and click the OK button (3).
Completion of setup
15. In Group Doorman, you can manage custom fields by picking the fields made in Brevo (1), or create new ones instantly (2). If you’ve changed the custom fields in Brevo, select Refresh fields (3). Once you’re done managing, click Save and close (4).
