To integrate ActiveCampaign with Group Doorman, you’ll need to install our Chrome extension for the group you’re currently managing. You’ll also need an ActiveCampaign account.
Adding ActiveCampaign to Group Doorman integrations
1.Let’s get started by opening Group Doorman and heading over to the Manage groups tab (1). From there, just click on the +Add integration button (2) and you’ll be on your way to setting up your integration smoothly.
2. Next, take a look at the list of integrations that are available, find ActiveCampaign, and click on it.
3. When you choose ActiveCampaign, a setup form will be displayed. At this point, you have two choices: either create a new account or select an existing one if you have previously used ActiveCampaign. Select the option that is most suitable for you!
Adding API Url and API key
4. To begin, go to your ActiveCampaign profile. Find the Settings icon in the side menu on the left and click on it.
5. On the Settings page, you’ll find the Developers tab (1) in the left-side menu. Your API Url and API Key will be right there on the page opened in the API Access block. Simply click the Copy API Url button (2) on the right side of the URL field to grab it.
6. Go to the Group Doorman form and paste your API Url into the corresponding field.
7. Now, go back to ActiveCampaign and click on the Copy API Key button next to the Key field.
8. Paste your API Key into the corresponding field in the Group Doorman form (1), and then click the Save and continue button (2).
Adding a tag at Group Doorman

Creating a List
10. Head back to ActiveCampaign and find the Contacts tab in the side menu. Give it a click to continue.
11. Now, go ahead and click on the Lists tab (1) in the Contacts menu. On the Lists page, you’ll spot the Master Contact List (2), which was created when you signed up. This list can be used for integrating with Group Doorman, or you can create a new list by clicking the Add a list (3) button. For the next steps, we’ll be working with the Master Contact List.
12. Let’s go to the Group Doorman form. Click on the List field and select Master Contact List from the drop-down.
Creating a Custom field at ActiveCampaign
Group Doorman allows you to post your group members’ responses to ActiveCampaign using custom fields. You’ll need to specify which response corresponds to each field. Additionally, Group Doorman can automatically generate default custom fields for you. To do this, simply click on the Create Fields for Answers button.
13. For manually creating a custom field at ActiveCampaign, go to the Contacts tab (1) in the side menu, then click Fields (2), when the Contacts page opens. Next, click the Add Field (3) button in the right upper corner of the page.
14. Fill in all the fields in the form, that appear (1) and click the Add button (2). Congrats! Your custom field was created!
Completion of setup
15. In Group Doorman, you can manage custom fields in two ways. You can either choose the fields created in ActiveCampaign (1) or create new fields instantly (2). If you’ve made any changes to the fields in ActiveCampaign, select Refresh fields (3). Finally, click Save and close (4) when you’re done managing.
