To integrate GetResponse with Group Doorman, you’ll need to install our Chrome extension for the group you’re currently managing. You’ll also need a GetResponse account.
Adding GetResponse to Group Doorman integrations
1.To get started, open up Group Doorman and head over to the ‘Manage groups’ tab (1). Now click +Add integrations (2).
2. Find GetResponse in the list shown and click on it.
3. In the set-up form open, choose to create a new account or select an existing one if you have already set up an account for another group and wish to reuse it.
Getting API key
4. Next, go to GetResponse, click on Tools (1), and then click Integrations and API (2).
5. Now click API in the left upper corner (1) and then click Generate API key button(2), when it’s displayed.
6. Type in a name for your API key in the according field (1) and click Generate (2).
7. Once your API key was created, you will find it displayed on page (1). To use the API key in the next step, click on the Copy button (2).
8. Now let’s go to Group Doorman. Paste the API key you’ve just copied into the appropriate field (1) and click Save and continue (2).
Adding a tag at Group Doorman
9. In the Group Doorman form, enter the name of the tag in the appropriate field. This tag will then be transferred to GetResponse by Group Doorman when creating a contact.
Creating a list at GetResponse
10. To create a list in your GetResponse account, click Tools (1), then Contacts (2).
11. Now go to Lists tab (1) in the left upper corner and click the Create list (2) button in the right upper corner of the open page.
11. Enter the list’s name in the field (1) and click the Create (2) button.
12. Go back to your Group Doorman set-up form and pick the list you’ve just created in the drop-down.
Creating a custom field at GetResponse
Group Doorman allows you to post your group members’ responses to GetResponse using custom fields. You’ll need to specify which response corresponds to each field. Additionally, Group Doorman can automatically generate default custom fields for you. To do this, simply click on the “Create Fields for Answers” button.
12. To create a custom field manually, head over to the Custom fields tab (1) located on the same page as Lists within your GetResponse account. Next, click on the drop-down list in the top-left corner of the page, choose User-defined (2), and hit the Create custom field button (3) in the top-right corner.
13. Fill in the form shown (1) and click Save (2).
14. In the Group Doorman form, you can manage the Custom fields block by selecting the fields that were created in GetResponse (1) or creating new ones instantly (2). If you have made changes to the custom fields in GetResponse you can select Refresh fields (3). Once you have finished managing the custom fields, simply click on Save and close (4).
