To integrate Ontraport with Group Doorman, you’ll need to install our Chrome extension for the group you’re currently managing. You’ll also need an Ontraport account.
Adding Ontraport to Group Doorman integrations
1.Let’s start by opening Group Doorman and heading to the Manage groups tab (1). From there, just click on the +Add integration button (2) and you’ll be on your way to setting up your integration smoothly.
2. After that, you can go ahead and check out the list of available integrations. Just look for Ontraport and give it a click.
3. When you click on Ontraport, a setup form will pop up. At this point, you have two choices: either create a new account or select an existing one if you’ve used Ontraport before. Choose the option that works best for you!
Adding APP ID and API Key
4. To get started, go to your Ontraport profile. Click on your Profile icon (1) in the top right corner of the page and click on it. Next, select Administration (2).
5. Now, click on the Integrations tab (1) in the left-side menu, and then click on the Ontraport API Instructions And Key Manager (2) block.
6. When the API Keys page is open, click on the +New API Key button in the top-right corner of the page.
7. After that, you’ll be redirected to the API Application page. Let’s finish up the API Applications, just like the example below.
8. Once you have finished the API Application, you will be directed to the API Key creation form. Name your API Key (1), complete the API Key Permissions section (2), and simply click the Save button (3).
9. Your APP ID and API Key are displayed on the page. Copy Your APP ID.
10. Now go to the Group Doorman integration setup form and paste your APP ID into the corresponding field.
11. Let’s do the same for API Key. Copy it from the Ontraport page.
12. After that, simply paste it into the API Key field of the Group Doorman form (1). Once you’re finished, just click on Save and continue (2).
Adding a Tag at Group Doorman
13. In the Group Doorman form, enter the name of the tag in the appropriate field. When creating a contact, Group Doorman will transfer this tag to Ontraport.
Creating a Custom field at Ontraport
Group Doorman allows you to post your group members’ responses to Ontraport using custom fields. You’ll need to specify which response corresponds to each field.
14. To create a custom field in Ontraport, first, click on the Contacts tab (1) at the top. Then, select Settings (2) from the drop-down menu. Finally, choose File Editor (3) from the list.
13. Once the Field Editor is open, simply click on the +Add Field button.
14. Complete all the required fields in the form, tick the checkboxes (1), and don’t forget to click on Save (2) when you have finished.
15. Make sure that the field you just created is showing up on the page (1), and then click on the Save button (2) in the upper-right corner of the page.
Completion of setup
16. In the Group Doorman form, choose the appropriate response for each field (1) by selecting the options from the dropdown menu. If you have made any changes to the fields in Ontraport, make sure to click on Refresh fields (2). Lastly, click on Save and close (3) once you have finished managing.
